eXtraBO is a green showcase in the heart of Bologna’s historic centre, the window on the territory where you can find all the information on cycle routes, trekking and walking paths, parks, protected oases and cultural attractions in the area. If you pass by to visit us, you will also find maps and cartographies to start exploring the territory!

We cater for lovers of active holidays (whether on foot, by bicycle or adventure!), but also for those who want to enjoy simple moments of relaxation and discover the area in a slow way.
We are also the starting point of some great walks, such as Via degli Dei (Path of Gods), Via della Lana e della Seta (Wool and Silk Road) and Via Mater Dei (Mater Dei route): here you can find credentials, map guides and everything you need to set off!

At eXtraBO you will also find a room dedicated to telling the story of the territory, where we host panels, training sessions and micro-workshops dedicated to everyone, even the youngest.

And that’s not all! Every day, this space comes alive with many proposals for experiences to discover the area accompanied by environmental guides: trekking and cycling routes, visits to discover food and wine specialities, and even night-time outings to observe the area in an unusual way and admire the starry sky.
We will take you to discover the most authentic side of the territory, exploring its characteristic places and oldest traditions.
If, on the other hand, you prefer to explore the area on your own, drop by and, with our rented bicycles, you will be able to get around the city and out of town more easily.

We have divided ourselves into three areas to tell you more about what is happening but we are one huge area with so much to say and to offer. The Apennines is located in the southernmost area bordering Tuscany. The area is rich in mountains that lend themselves to be explored through historical paths that lead not only to Tuscany but also to the nearby Imola Area. Here we are on the border with Romagna, where the immense valleys are land for cyclists and for those who want to reach one of Italy’s best-known racetracks: that of Imola. The Flatlands, on the other hand, is located in the northernmost area of the Metropolitan City and is characterized by the vastness of its flat land dedicated mostly to agriculture. Getting around by bicycle is easy here thanks to an extensive network of cycle paths (the Ciclovia del Sole passes right through here) and it is not difficult to encounter large valleys and historic mansions.
