From 28 October 2023 to 18 February 2024 all three of Imola’s public museums (Palazzo Tozzoni, Museo San Domenico and Rocca Sforzesca) are involved in the exhibition that the city dedicates to the renowned artistic duo. The exhibition, curated by the director of Imola Musei, Diego Galizzi, is organised by the Municiplaity of Imola – Imola Musei, with the support of various local entities including the Cooperativa Ceramics of Imola, the project’s main partner.

Bertozzi & Casoni remodelled the role of ceramics in contemporary art. With their astonishing creations, they have established themselves as Rule Breakers, disrupting rules and traditions. Without ever betraying their proudly ‘artisanal’ approach, they let go of many preconceptions and limitations imposed by artistic ceramics, by giving this art new goals and breaking the mould of a somewhat fringe discipline by leading it into the realm of the well-established arts.

The exhibition project is spread across Imola’s three public museums:
Section 1: “Tranche de vie” (Palazzo Tozzoni)
Section 2: “In nuce 1980-1997” (Museo San Domenico)
Section 3: “La morte dell’eros” (Rocca Sforzesca)
