From Farm to Table: a food and wine tour of the Bologna plain

Come and discover the agricultural heart of San Matteo della Decima on an exclusive tour that will introduce you to two of the region’s finest products.

The adventure begins at San Giovanni in Persiceto station. A shuttle will be waiting to take you to the fragrant surroundings of the Ponte Pasqualino Farm: here you’ll stroll through fields of ancient grains and vegetable gardens, getting a close-up look at all the farm’s activities, before rounding off the visit with a tasting of their produce.

The experience continues in the warm atmosphere of Agriturismo Bio Nonno, where you will take centre stage. Put on an apron for a hands-on workshop in handmade pasta, shaping stricchetti and purple potato gnocchi. To round things off in style, we’ll sit down to enjoy the fruits of your labour together, celebrating local flavours with an excellent glass of organic Pignoletto DOC.

Finally, the shuttle will take you back to the station in San Giovanni in Persiceto, where you can return to Bologna by train.
